First Friday

The First Friday of every month many of the venues in downtown Augusta hold special events. ARC's special event is to showcase a local artist whose work will hang in our gallery for the entire month. Our First Friday Opening Receptions are jointly coordinated with 4P Studios and Alternative Artworks who graciously coordinate with the artists.

Art Studio program

ARC's 2016 Summer Art Studio program sought to nurture both ends of the Arts Economy: the producer and the consumer. We did this by providing free studio space in the heart of the Augusta Cultural District to artists and then opening that space up to the public once a month. This resulted in more productivity among artists and a heightened awareness and appreciation for the artistic process and the local Arts Economy in the public. The program culminated in a collaborative show in November 2016 where the artists displayed the work they had created during the program.
